Fifth Sign of Spring

Today I saw more flowers growing. This time they are purple(left). Also, today is the first official day of spring, or the Vernel Equinox. Now it is officailly spring. The next day( 3-20-10, Barrows neighborhoood, 1:00-2:00) I went and played catch outside with my older brother, Thomas. After playing catch a little bit, we took a walk, and some of our neighbors also enjoying the beatiful weather. Proggessively over the week, my lawn has been getting greener(below) also.

Today I have started walking. Jackson and Justin Conroy, and Sam Enright also walk with me to school in the morning. We can't walk to school in the winter because of snow and temperature.

Today it has started to rain. Normally, it doesn't rain in the winter because its too cold. Also, today is pi day. The date is the first four digits of the date are the first four digits of pi. It comes every March in the middle.

Today I saw a robin. This means that birds are migrating back north at the end of winter.

Today, I saw the first flowers(below)! That means its warm enough to grow. I also two more robins. It is also Saint Patrick's Day. It comes right before the first day of spring.

Today was my birthday! Ever year it comes at the end of February, which means spring is coming.

All the snow is melted from it because its too warm now. Also, it is in the high fifties right now, which is a warm temperature, one you wouldn't see during winter.

Under Route 93

As my father and I started walking the path under 93, we saw two Red-tailed Hawks circling overhead. Later, we saw the same two hawks ,and another one off to the side, again. Also, we saw a Blue-jay sitting in a tree near us, calling out. In the thicker woods, we saw a tree chewed off by a beaver(below), but we saw no beavers.
